Something isn't adding up in this case- there's so many examples of insane and ridiculous behavior that make no sense. You find a supposed child standing at your bed with a knife and she openly says she wants to murder you and your family and your reaction is to send her to bed and you stayed up all night and then that's the end of it? She's thrown so many red flags just in the first episode that I'm stunned this was allowed to continue KNOWING she was a supposed maniacal, murderous child, and no actions taken? Yeah I'm not buying it.

Along with the nosy Karen neighbor, who admits to (and seems rather proud of) her status of being the neighborhood gossip/busybody who is in everyone's business but not enough to do anything.

So many people failed in this situation and these parents are at the very least negligible to the point of abandoning their natural children in order to somehow become some patron saint of the world for heroism, but won't actually do anything but complain, and when others raise concerns they casually brush it aside.

I'm not in any way surprised there's prison involved and charges against these abhorrent abominations of an excuse for parents and that this guy is trying to play himself off as the innocent victim here is appalling.
