Sex Maniax

I have come late, in the last couple of years, to the fetish cinema of Tanya Hyde, arguably the most accomplished director in the field. Through casting, ingenious ideas for outre situations and great style and craftsmanship she emerges head and shoulders above her mainly male peers in the genre.

"Sex Maniax" is not among her most famous works, but is hard to beat in terms of femme casting and stimulating sex. The four extremely lengthy vignettes (running nearly 3 hours) take simple, familiar bondage/fetish routines and amplify them to the max.

Suspension is the subject of op;ener "Hang 'em High" featuring two spectacular women, Claudia Rossi and the little-known Ree Petra hanging around in midair with extreme humping applied. Following this arousing foursome, the huge-busted Mai Bailey and lovely blonde Stella Delacroix perform solid dom/sub maid fetish action in "Upstairs Downstairs" opposite a well-cast Clarke Kent.

"Filthy Fuckerz" is perhaps the showiest segment, in which another hand-picked busty actress Megane is paired with then-starlet Bobbi Starr imported from America and doing her truly uninhibited thing. Finale "Wet Room" is latex action of the highest order pushing the feature over the top in fetish content. Delacroix is back and paired with an exotic lovely Zafira.

Hyde's excellent camera-work and cutting plus carefully chosen musical score makes this a thrilling form of escapism, completely divorced from narrative. I doubt she could ever handle a conventional feature, but in the artsy wing of Adult she's staked out, Hyde succeeds where big-names like Blake and Ninn consistently disappoint.
