Foxy Tarts

Working for Harmony Films exclusively, the mysterious auteur named "Strangelove" seemingly fills a niche somewhere between the extreme genius Tanya Hyde and the mainstream. "Foxy Tarts" has elements that remind one of Tanya, but the tone and content remain considerably softer and less emphatic.

So whoever Dr. Strange really is, it/she/he is a competent craftsman when it comes to grinding out fetish videos. This one ends with a laundry list of at least two dozen firms to thank for providing gear, clothing, toys or locations for the BDSM activity.

The five segments feature a talented cast, and Strangelove's best assets are colorful lighting, interesting camera placements and angles (emphasizing the low-angle distorting effects so beloved by British helmers) and attention to the female form. Some scenes are cock-centric, but basically it is the beauties who dominate (literally) the show.

A medical-instruments segment set in an exam room has stars Katie Kay and Lolly Badcock, blonde & brunette in contrasting fishnet stockings, alternating working each over with outsize dildos, strap-on-dildos and quite a lot of energy. I see in IMDb that AVN nominated this scene for an award under "3-way" category but as always they got it wrong - to me a three-way is defined as three sexual partners working on each other simultaneously, but this scene is more of a sleight-of-hand, as near the end of the humping Straponjane substitutes for one of the girls almost invisibly in tag-team fashion, but is easily recognized by the dead giveaway of her wrinkled hands (alas, one of the sure signs of old age creeping up on one) and then a pan up to show her face belatedly, as the camera is mostly riveted to groin close-ups.

Interracial sex stars Melvena Raquel with a couple of fetish-gear clad studs, and remarkable shot-from-below amplification of her ample breasts. This scene exploits extreme skin-tone contrast, and makes for a fine backdrop when the guys deposit their money shots on cue on her dark posterior.

Apart from Badcock and Renee Richards, I appreciated the casting of lesser-known or fresh talent, as one of the pitfalls of Brit Porn is that at any moment (given the constant "brain drain" to Chatsworth of stars, e.g., currently Stella Cox, Ryan Ryder and Jasmine Jae) the limited talent pool lends a sameness to these videos.

With all manner of hoods masks and an imaginative sequence involving clown makeup, the various studs apart from Euro imports George Uhl and Olivier Sanchez are unrecognizable.
