This film is clearly the worst of all Byomkesh Bakshi films. Parambrata Chatterjee is not good enough and does not look like Byomkesh Bakshi. He does not have the required screen presence. The actor cast as Ajit is horrible, and this makes one wonder how in the world the director Sayantan Ghosal (or whoever might be the casting director) thought of casting a poor actor like Rudranil Ghosh as the iconic character of Ajit. Ghosh does not also have the looks to play Ajit, a character who is a writer and a gentleman with grace and kindness. The film does not hold the attention of the viewer in any way. Finally, calling the nationalist and philosopher Sri Aurobindo a "terrorist" does not help. The producers, the director and the screenwriter (and the actress who said the line) are lucky that no one sued them in court for defamation, blasphemy and gross historical inaccuracy.
