The director has directed many raw films and they were all blockbusters but this film was so dramatic that audience never thought the director was capable of directing such a film. This film was trendsetter at that time. The actor's performances were at their peak and Prakash Raj's performance is very organic and is a case-study for all the actors in many of the film institutes till date. The heroine has nothing to do in the film. But the amma, nanna and the Hero do everything for this film to have a place in the hearts of the audience.
