Asia Noir

The late David Aaron Clark was a pretentious pornographer, who earned a reputation for his videos spotlighting Oriental women, though hardly at the high level of achievement of say Bud Lee. This opener in a 6-feature "Asia Noir" series about interracial sex with Black men is just wall-to- wall porn with failed artsy camera-work.

That's a shame, because in the DVD's BTS short subject the actresses prove to have engaging personalities and clearly a lot more to offer than merely giving blow jobs and getting humped by Black studs. Yet that is all Clark has them do.

The non-narrative pantomime basically revolves around the women as sex slaves, often led around by chains or otherwise treated as subs by the dominating males led by stars Mr. Marcus (Clark's favored actor) and Guy DiSilva. What ensues occurs in a glamorous mansion right out of the more effective Jules Jordan playbook, as well as an outdoor sex scene by Guy's elegant sports car. This idealized universe panders to the porn viewer's somewhat contradictory view of beautiful women reduced to objects under a man's heel, but not in the grubby surroundings of say a Lizzie Borden or Max Hardcore gonzo piece of video garbage, but rather glamorized. One girl, the busty petite Kimmy Kahn, has a fine makeup job worthy of a leading role in Broadway's "Cats", so she can slither along and drink from a bowl of milk on the floor, and later ingest a concoction of that milk spiced with newly minted cum.

Some of the women, notably Lucy Lee and South Jersey girl Sexy Kelana, are hardly recognizable in the BTS without their elaborate false eyelashes in place. But they are all exotic and beautiful, and presumably that is what this cold and empty video has to offer to less discriminating fans. Fortunately Clark added some narrative material to subsequent entries in the series, giving them infinitely more heft.
