Quan Chi: [after Sub-Zero defeats the Elements blocking the entry into the Temple of Elements, Quan Chi takes the amulet] The amulet! I have Shinnok's amulet!
Sub-Zero: Who's amulet?
Quan Chi: He is my deity, ruler of the Netherrealm; And soon, destroyer of your Earthrealm.
Sub-Zero: What are you talking about?
Quan Chi: This amulet... it is the key to Shinnok's power as an Elder God. When returned to him, he will regain his powers and be free from the confines OF the Netherrealm.
Sub-Zero: I thought Shao Kahn was...
Quan Chi: Shao Kahn is nothing bu t a peasant ruler of a long dead realm! SHINNOK, is the destroyer of ALL realms, INCLUDING Kahn's Outworld!
Sub-Zero: Destroyer of all realms? You are insane! That amulet isn't worth the bronze it's molded from!
Quan Chi: Believe what you will, Sub-Zero. Goodbye, ninja.
[Quan Chi warps away to the Netherrealm]
- इसके अलावा अन्य वर्जनThe version released on the Playstation has full video cut scenes. The Nintendo 64 version just has stills with text to advance the plot.
- कनेक्शनEdited into MK5 - Mortal Combat - Sub Zero (1997)
You play as the legendary kombatant Sub-Zero, the Lin Kuei send him on a mission to collect elements for a sorcerer (and newly trusted ally) named Quan-Chi.
Gameplay: The game play is a cross between fighting and a plat former, very different to the previous Mortal Kombat games. There are puzzles to work out and you have to get through obstacles by timing your movements. Sub-Zero has all his special moves and combos intact and can even do his classic spine rip fatality.
Sound: The sound is basically average for this game, nothing special.
Graphics: Digitized sprites (Like MK1-3) crossed with 3D levels. I like the fact that they kept the digitized look and feel of MK.
Story: A great story! A good explanation of Sub-Zero's background.
Lastability: The game has 8 levels, except they will take lots of try's because of the high difficulty. After you finish it once there's nothing to do except do it all over again.
Controls: Not as dodgy as hyped up to be, the only bad thing is having a turn button which changes direction, but you get used to the controls quick.
I suggest trying it first, just remember to give it a chance before you hate it. The problem why a lot of people hate it is because it's damn hard, but I wouldn't want a game you could finish in 5 hours.
Only get if you're a hardcore fan of the series.
