Nick Orleans, a major Adult Cinema director since the VHS era made this VCA release that has proved prescient. In depicts a future that has arrived, the Smart Home typified by Google Nest, Amazon Home and even Apple's Siri. Siri in this 1993 movie is depicted as Athena 2001, a sexy voiced helper (voice of Kansas Shay), who comes to life in Virtual Reality in the person of sexy Tiffany Mynx.
The extensive credits listing show players in each sex vignette, united by a storyline depicting Kelly O'Dell, who chats with Athena 2001 in her home and tries out a new VR toy named Lovemaker II. Users wear sexy glasses (not Google Glass but far more stylish than the oversized goggles of since developed real VR sets) and masturbate as they imagine themselves in sexy liaisons. At one point, perhaps most predictive of where technology is actually headed, the two machines Lovemaker II and Athena 2001 link up together and have a "human" sex scene in VR, played by Mynx and O'Dell.
Movie also includes a striking opening title sequence, shot by ace cameraman Jack Remy, that resembles an elaborate Bond movie abstract title montage, showing beautiful nude women (tastefully nude) cleverly illuminated with style. Like many subsequent Orleans films, the sometimes ethereal, sometimes jazzy musical score (by Wesley Evans) is a key to its success.
