A top-hatted cat recruits a bulldog to get into a penthouse party for the food. The dog is mistaken for a waiter, and given the job of keeping the riffraff out. Guess who he targets!
It's not a great cartoon from Walter Lantz' factory, but it does have a classic series of variations on a theme as the cat keeps sneaking in and the dog throws him out. Typically for a second-ranked Lantz cartoon from this era, it has limited animation and simple designs, but the designs are clean, the colors are bright, and Jack Hannah directs at a good pace. You have regulars Dal McKennon and Paul Frees doing the voices.
