Surprisingly good French adventure yarn.

I was really amazed by the beauty of this film, and I watched it in a very good copy. I did not expect such a film from the French industry, and directed by such a petty film maker such as Jean Bastia, used to second rate comédies. Scenery and production design are here at a scale which I would have never imagined for a French yarn, especially from this period
