Those who lived in the Porthcawl area at the time the film was released would have had no difficulty at all in identifying the real-life local political figure upon whom the lightly-fictionalized Williams was based.

That issue is still being debated today, on social media.

Stars jon finch and the awesome glenda jackson. When a news team captures politicians making shady deals, the bosses try to stop it from being aired, in the name of safety. But what's really going on? When the reporters find out their phones are being tapped, there must be more to it. And when they score an interiew with someone who may be connected to the irish underground, the bosses may not even let it get on air. Who's controlling the news? Written and directed by karl francis. Known for his documentaries in the name of human rights, worker rights, childrens' rights. The film is very well done. Miss jackson did this just a couple years after one of my favorite films, hopscotch!
