A taxi driver (Peret) fallls for a famours singer (Nieves Navarro) , but she deceives him posing as a hairdresser . Later on , he participates at a TV musical show promoted by herself , while Peret doesn't know he is being sponsored by the stylist , though she's actualy a popular singer . Things go wrong when Peret's former girlfriend (Florinda Chico) appears seeking vengeance against the new sweetheart .
This is a joyful as well as entertaining Spanish musical comedy , nicely realized by Ramón Torrado and well produced by Benito Perojo. This an enjoyable and feeling movie with attractive musical set pieces and in final takes places the ordinary happy end . This is a charming story proceeded in simplicity and delicacy , providing a lot of chances of singing . The main role "Peret" is played by himself in a phenomenal way , can be said that he is perfectly adequate to his measure . Of course , Peret steals the show as a splendid singer in Spanish style : Rumba Catalana . Peret was a Spaniard gypsy singer and guitarist, best known for his 1971 hit single "Borriquito" (the Mosquito song). He was one of the best known singers of Spanish songs both in Spain and internationally . Represented Spain at the 1974 Eurovision song contest. While co-starring is gorgeous Nieves Navarro or Susan Scott who was previously married to Luciano Ercoli. She is a notorious actress, especially known gor Giallos : La muerte camina con tacón alto (1971), La muerte acaricia a medianoche (1972) and Días de angustia (1970). This is the second version based on a story by guitarist, singer, composer & actor. It is a remake to (1954) movie titled ¨Amor sobre Ruedas¨_by director Ramón Torrado himself dealing with a taxi driver participates in a singing contest of a radio station for non-professionals and enters the final round. Being among the finalists he meets at the radio station a famous singer and falls in love with her.
