A tycoon has bequeathed his treasure to explorator Miradoux ; but if he fails to go to the notary's office before the deadline, the fortune will go to Cristobal ,who holds him prisoner in South America. Everyday ,his wife,as blind as a bat , comes to the railway station .To no avail. The Pieds Nickelés suggests one of them pass himself off as the disappeared heir to the explorator's daughter ,in love with a poor young man her mom doesn't want to hear of:as she is near-sighted ;it will be easy .But they will have two -bit detective Sherlock Coco and greedy Cristobal to reckon with : it's all a sham!
This is the second ,and to date, the last adventure of les Pieds Nickelés on the silver screen ; the most satisfying part is the first one ; after the funny scenes of the impostor ,the screenplay becomes messy ,the action too hurried for comfort ;too much voice over does not help; the movie would have been more successful, had it been given a silent film treatment ;by and large,the first effort was more satisfying .
Best scene:how useful it is to have paint at hand when you wear a striped convict uniform!
