His aim as a director is to break as many cinematic taboos concerning
violence and depravity as possible. Yet he strongly detests real
violence towards animals being committed to film. He always points out
in the credits of his productions that no animals had been harmed in
the making of them. His surrealistic film "Visions of suffering" is
dedicated to the memory of his cat, Roma.
