John W. Fagerholm, Esq. is the managing partner of M.E.T.A.L. Law Group LLP. He gained his experience with a litigation law firm and with a high profile entertainment law firm before co-founding Fagerholm & Jefferson Law Corporation nearly a decade ago. His background is in business and entrepreneurship and he has owned several businesses, including a car buying business, a kickboxing studio, a mortgage company, an escrow company, a nightclub, a publishing company and a convalescent home.
Mr. Fagerholm practices in the areas of entertainment and business law, including business litigation, corporate structures, and intellectual property for clients primarily in media (websites, magazines, etc.), entertainment (film, television and music), technology (iPhone aps, web aps), action sports (UFC and other MMA) and lifestyles (fashion and nightlife). He also acts as head of business and legal affairs for several prominent clients.
He currently writes articles and acts as a commentator for several monthly Internet and hardcopy magazines on subjects related to business and legal matters in media, entertainment and technology. He is also involved in local politics, youth sports, and several charitable causes.
Mr. Fagerholm has an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Washington and a Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law. He attended Law School after receiving the prestigious Schumacher Scholarship and graduated from the accelerated two year SCALE program.
