Fair-haired character actress, on Broadway from 1950. Acclaimed for her roles in George Bernard Shaw's 'Misalliance' (as Hypatia Tarleton) in 1953; and 'What the Butler Saw' (as Mrs. Prentice) in 1970. Co-founder of the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
