Appeared in an episode of the BBC's "The Goon Show" called "Who Is Pink Oboe?". Shortly before airtime, the show's star, Peter Sellers, developed throat trouble and could not perform. Dyall was one of four actors who had to replace Sellers' multitude of characters.
He narrated a number of short films including 'Prisoners of the Tower', 'The Clock Strikes', 'The Gong Cried Murder' and 'The House in Rue Rapp' all in 1946.
