Was the first actor to be involved with three different productions of "Zorro", and also the first Latino to play the role of Zorro for television. He was the voice of Zorro/Don Diego in the animated series
The New Adventures of Zorro (1981) (which was broadcast as part of
The New Adventures of the Lone Ranger (1980)). He then starred as the elderly Zorro/Don Diego--the only actor to have portrayed both characters--in the series
Zorro and Son (1983). Then he was Don Alejandro, Don Diego's father, in
Zorro (1990) for three of its four seasons.
