In 1969, he co-stared in an unsold sitcom pilot from CBS called "Houseboat". The pilot starred Arthur Hill as a widowed newspaper report who lives on a houseboat with his three kids and beautiful young housekeeper.
Big at playing unsympathetic types such as snobs, loudmouths and
bullies, he was known for his resourceful portrayals of various ethnic
types. Of Italian heritage, he was seen playing everything from a
Mexican bandit and Russian doctor to a Japanese sailor.
