Upon leaving the movie industry in her teens, June Preston went on to become one of the most famous opera singers of her time, debuting at the tender age of 24 with the Metropolitan Opera as 'Mimi' in La Boheme opposite the great Metropolitan Opera Tenor, Jan Peerce as Rodolfo. This tour was called "Opera Stars of The Metropolitan Opera". She continued to tour with the Met until she went on her solo US tour (1958) then European tour (1962) onward.
In the near future followed by June Preston's child star days, June Preston became an internationally acclaimed opera singer singing for the Metropolitan Opera company singing leading roles opposite Jan Peerce, Salvotore Baccolini, Nicola Mascono, Robert Weede, and many more.
