He acted with the Bristol Old Vic School at the Theatre Royal in Bristol, England with Peter Wyngarde, Donald Pickering, Ingrid Hafner, Peter Wilson, Robin Phillips, Patrick Stewart OBE, Norman Tyrrell, David Perry, David King, John Woodvine, Susan Engel, and Peter Jeffrey in the cast. John Hale was director. Patrick Robertson and Rosemary Vercoe were the designers.
