Is of no relation to the acting sisters Audrey Meadows or Jayne Meadows. Contrary to popular belief, she did not change her name to "Meadows" to capitalize on their familiarity, as her name change in 1954 pre-dated the fame of the two sisters (whose given family name was not even "Meadows").
