On researching different wandering groups of con artists for his
screenplay, Traveller (1997): "Their lives were virtually
indistinguishable from that of their Scottish counterparts, but their
purely Celtic ethnicity opened the door to the idea of a possible turf
war between two essentially similar, though also essentially distinct,
outlaw groups."
