Leading actor, the son of a Baptist minister. He was brought up in Canada, and came to fame in English films, notably in the title role of The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll (1960) and as an artist in Tony Hancock's The Rebel (1961). In the early 70's, Massie took the unusual step of abandoning his acting career in favor of a position as drama teacher at the University of South Florida.
