The Asylum

The Asylum is a different kind of Fan fiction. You won't see world shattering events and multidimensional beings in here but what you will send is a very believable tale. Full DISCLOSURE: I do have a friend that plays a part in this project but that being said I will try to be impartial as I can. There are several good and bad things about this series but I feel the good outweigh the bad. The good: The Camera work. Amazing for a fan film. Good use of light, effects, movement, panning etc. The music great score that fits the scenes extremely well. The story. Very engrossing and will keep your interest. The practical effects. Most people doing fan film chose to use cheap looking CGI or bad makeup. This film has excellent, sometimes Hollywood level effects. Now for the bad. The recorded dialog sound levels. They really could use better mic placement and perhaps better equipment but as the series goes on it does get better. The acting talent however does run the gambit from poor to straight up there excellent. As they polish their craft I see this getting very popular.
