Cute story of a caper at a cheese maker in poland. When the owner decides to close up shop and put the land to more profitable use, the workers
make plans to try to keep it open! Story number one. The daughter is getting married to a guy of a different race. Story number two. The husbands and the wives have differing ideas of what the sexes should be doing. Story number three. When the workers get help from an unexpected person, it looks like they will get their way. The stories all mesh together quite well. Except for the racist statement someone makes right near the end. Was that necessary for a film made in 2025? The others sort of straighten him out. But not really. It's in polish, but dubbed into english, and an english subtitle track as well. It's silly and corny, but it mostly works. I would have given this higher marks, if it weren't for the un-necessary racist remark right near the end. The film is a little bit like "guess who's coming to dinner", the viewers are smart enough to see that maja's dad is quite old fashioned, and was having a hard time dealing with his daughter engagement to a guy from a different race. The rude, ignorant statement near the end just wasn't necessary, and it wasn't said by the old fashioned dad.. it came from a "towny". The cheese rolling bus scene at the very end was also silly and un-necessary. I would have left that out. As of today, only 56 ratings on imdb, and no user reviews. Currently showing on the netflx.
