Démasqué

Kim Hye-soo plays Oh So-ryong an Investigative reporter for a tv programme called trigger. She is relentless in her pursuit of justice and goes to any length to expose wrongdoing. The series centres on the tv production team and has various stories of wrongdoings but the main story is the mysterious disappearance of a budding pop star twenty years earlier. Hey-soo as ever is superb in her role and the supporting cast do a sterling job but I believe the script falls short. The characters are not fleshed out and their interactions and moods change to fit the plot narrative and the baddies are all insane. Having said that it is still worth a watch as some parts are very good.
