Inspiration

"Inspiration" lacks same, emerging as merely a garden-variety Kendo film for couples via the daring! label, way too long in each of its mechanical sex scenes.

Best thing here is a recurring image (Ken Docherty aka Kendo likes to repeat himself) of a staircase seen at an odd high-angle, sometimes with a glamorous lady with big hat and decolletage on view.

But the five vignettes are perfunctory, nearly identical in content: only the names and faces of the silent Euro talent on view changes. Even my favorite, Cathy Heaven, is unimpressive going through Kendo's carefully (and overly directed like a puppet master would do) orchestrated poses and motions.

His penchant for extreme cropping of image is ridiculous, removing heads from several scenes and usually just showing parts of faces, as if the talent would prefer to remain anonymous. Flash edits, taken from one segment to insert in another as if it were a flashback or flash-forward image, merely interrupt the flow, a deadly technique in a medium where arousal and build-up is the Prime Directive.

No surprise, the emphasis is on anal sex performed bareback, certainly exciting to a porno novice out there watching in video land, but strictly ho-hum in a Euro Porn production. Kendo's fetish expertise only is evident when two of the gals wear long black or pink gloves throughout their appearances, stylizing the hand-job and even blow-job content. Ill-advised final scene is a lesbian clinch in which body to body contact is avoided, merely a boring case of hand-to-hand Sapphic friendly combat.
