A very cleverly written show that both parents and kids can enjoy.
I was curious when I saw this show since I never heard of BYUTV producing cartoons, and they nailed it, the humour is clever not following classical kids show humour going for just cheap toilet humour constantly that may get kids laughing but leaves parents wanting to not listen, instead the jokes land well for a large audience age range and the over all writing seems very well-thought-out. For kids, it gives great life lessons and an interesting story to go along with it that I am sure my younger self would have found entertaining.
While for adults the morals to the story seem very obvious, you can usually guess what they are in the first few minutes, the good animation and the reflection of the older Bennett on his younger self can still cause reflection on our lives and helps younger and older audiences understand the overarching lessons, that family is important and that learning from our mistakes and making up for them is always worth it in the end.
Really this show deserves more attention for its creativity, good animation, solid morals and the fact that it made ten solid episodes out of nowhere.
I never review anything, but this show defiantly deserves some reviews, so I thought I'd make one, to let people know to give it a chance.
