Frank, a deputy coroner, and Willetta, a housekeeper, have conspired to rob the eccentric Elizabeth Harrington of her inheritance after the apparent suicide of her father, the renowned Dr. Harrington. Their plans are complicated, however, with the arrival of the newly sober Arnold - who is not only Frank's co-worker, but is also Willetta's ex-boyfriend. Romantic entanglements, intoxication, a locked safe, and a large supply of fire arms bring all four character's true intentions to the surface resulting in a climatic struggle for survival and sanity.
