After Tamannaah got a good name in the film Happy Days 2007, K. Raghavendra Rao wanted to cast her in the film. Tamannaah could not be given a date as she was given a full call sheet for Kanden Kadhalai and Paiyaa films in Tamil. So the director has chosen Taapsee Pannu. Later Tamannaah expressed her regret in the newspapers that she was not able to act in the film of the legendary director.
