Commentaire à la une
Bree Mills and her director Craven Moorehead (who since has moved on) consider "taboo" subject matter that is mean to innocent women, playing sort of a double game of titillation for the male chauvinist viewer while levying a too-obvious critique of the ongoing mistreatment of women. "The Handmaid's Tale" this ain't.
Charles Dera is the one-note villain of the title vignette, having two wives care for his every whim while acting as orgasm-loving subs to his dominating behavior. Vignette provides porn fans with two sex scenes, first the wives having lesbian sex together, and then a gonzo threesome when Dera catches them, punishes them and then has sex with them.
Moorehead is a former porn actor (I recently saw him humping Ann Marie Rios in the first "Amateur Angels" release by Luc Wylder) who is more suited to gonzo than storytelling, and this episode ends on a sour, hopeless note.
Also negatory is the other segment on this DVD, "You Remind Me of Me", shot at the modern porn mansion with the distinctive Dolby logo door handles and a stand-alone fireplace in the middle of the living room.
It has a perverted couple, fan fave MILF Cory Chase and Stirling Cooper, who prey on teen cheerleader Mackenzie Moss. Chase has promoted Moss to be head cheerleader and invited her to her home, where she shows a framed photo of herself at Moss's age in cheerleader costume. Scene's credibility is destroyed immediately as we see that the photo was posed by actress Moss, accounting for the title resemblance, when our eyes tell us that the two actresses don't look anything like each other - a phony trick by director Craven (his stage name perhaps meaningful).
Cory uses sexual blackmail on Moss, threatening to blackball her from cheerleading and thereby lose her college scholarship unless she submit to the couple's depraved sexual desires.
Cue the expected threesome, mechanical sex that goes on endlessly in this hour-long scene. It ends on a hopeless note, the kid doomed to future repetitions of same treatment. Sort of a celebration of the child abuse in athletics still in the headlines with the testimony by survivors of Olympics doc Larry Nassar before the Senate recently. Yes, pornographers like Bree and Craven use their freedom of speech to profit from indulgent content like this, the critique of abuse barely visible at all. Note that an earlier segment of their Pure Taboo series had Donnie Rock play a perverted doctor fingering a teen patient who couldn't figure out what he was doing to her, directly reminiscent of the disgusting Dr. Nassar.
(In the good old days, as recently as the 1960s softcore porn era, baddies would suffer punishment or a bad fate in movies like these, rather than being shown having a great time and getting away with it, almost as role models.)
