Funnier than anything I was expecting

I saw this movie at Rice Media Center, and what I saw was an absolutely hilarious sports comedy. Basically if you thought DODGEBALL was funny (and I did), you will also think this movie is funny.

This is a movie centered around a Hand Slapping Tournament. Yeah, I said a Hand Slapping Tournament. It sounds totally stupid, but the writing is razor sharp, the actors hit the spot, and the cinematography is killer (totally over the top).

The director obviously knew how dumb the idea of a hand slapping movie was because he plays it so straight you're almost not sure if you are suppose to laugh. . . then you do. There is such a dry tongue & cheek wit about this movie that just makes it a pleasure to watch.

My only complaint is that some of the pacing at times is a little slow. They could maybe cut about 10 minutes of "fat" and then have a really sharp, crisp, clean movie. That's a minor complaint, and should not prevent anyone from finding this movie.
