This is the third of the four "animated comics" on the I Am Legend DVD, taking place in the same universe as the picture. It is by far the best of the ones I've seen thus far, meaning all but the last one. Using lighting and the entire spectrum of color, the style captures the moods and situations perfectly, and cinematography and editing are beyond reproach. There is dialog in this, however, not one word is spoken. It is all in speech-bubbles on the screen. I would say that the choice to do it like that makes sense once you've seen this whole short, and it does fit, as well. This always has the exact right amount of motion or stillness, and is a must-watch for any aficionado of the drawn art. This captured my full attention and never lost it in a manner neither of the first two can boast, and the nine minutes are subject to perfect pacing and excellent story-telling. The twist is devastating, and this manages to be more compelling than the film itself. There is disturbing content and gruesome, bloody violence in this. This doesn't have any strong language. I recommend this to any fan of dark fiction, whether or not you've seen and/or enjoyed the movie that it is a spin-off to. 8/10
