This was yet another film about self-love packaged in a romantic comedy...only there really wasn't any comedy. I didn't laugh a single time during this film.
Don't get me wrong there were things I liked about the film...gorgeous backdrop in Spain and then Paris, fun fashion with some vivid colors, tight female friendship between three friends...but that is kind of where my enjoyment ended.
Everyone has their kryptonite...for the one it's Leo a boy who broke her heart by leaving and not saying goodbye (get over it!), for another it is the deceased/ghost of Santi, and the third...being alone (although somehow that gets changed into being a lesbian).
The lead, Maca, speaks to the camera and garners sympathy for her downtrodden position working for a tyrant of a young twenty-something influencer. Her former boyfriend Leo who left her without saying goodbye...literally rented an apartment together and then got on a plan to go to Boston, is now back in her life. They have some childish back and forth and then he eventually apologizes and wants back with her...ultimately it was about Maca finding self love, but I think this could have been done a lot better.
Kind of a snooze-fest of a self-love film that I can't really recommend unless you want to practice your Spanish or see some vivid colors and interesting fashion choices.
