Following on from reports in the British press that the chat show would be returning for a second series, on Friday, 28th October 2022 ITV officially announced that they have commissioned a 6-episode second series for 2023 and that the new series will be proceeded by The John Bishop End of Year Show - an irreverent look back at the events of 2022 which will air in December 2022.

The gimmick is that the opening monologue will be filmed just before broadcast, meaning it will be very very topical and therefore funnier...

All very American chat-show style.

All very likely to not make a blind bit of difference to this working or not.
