I accidentally discovered this Austrian-German series: an ingenious story about a number of mysterious murders that take place on the high mountain border area between Austria and Germany. The series is bathed in a mysterious, almost faerie atmosphere with the mountains and snow playing an ominous role throughout the story. The cooperation between the German female detective from Munich and the Austrian lone wolf sleuth with a dark past from Salzburg provides the necessary chemistry in this suspenseful story about the search for a mysterious killer in the high mountains. The series contains folk horror elements based on folk tales from the region woven into the story. Beautiful setting, excellent actors and brilliant screenplay. Highly recommended!
