In interviews to promote the series, Mackenzie Crook said he had never watched the original ITV series starring Jon Pertwee as a child because his family only watched programmes that were on the BBC back then. He therefore had no worries about being compared with such a legendary performer as Pertwee and felt a new version should be judged as something quite separate from the original.

So lovely and funny!

Absolutely beautiful! The acting, costumes, scenery, humor and all of it! We are Dutch and never heard of Worzel Cummidge before. So nice to watch some positive, sweet and also a bit educational entertainment!
