Pre Office Mindy Kaling

After Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers got acclaim for their play Matt & Ben, they got a deal to create a sitcom pilot. They came up with this show, which loosely based on their post collegiate lives. However, the network decided that Mindy and Brenda should be played by more conventionally beautiful women than the real Mindy and Brenda. So, Mindy and Brenda are played by women that are somewhat prettier than the actual Mindy and Brenda, but aren't as funny. Anyway, Mindy is the boy crazy Indian girl and Brenda is her more sensible blonde friend. It's standard sitcom fare about two female friends, with a few Indian jokes tossed in.
