Maurice Schwartz is a soldier somewhere in Africa in front of a painted backdrop. Assigned to guard duty while his mess mates march off, he is frightened by various wild animals. His fellow soldiers make fun of him, until they encounter wild beasts.
It's directed by Alfred Machin, who despite a wide-ranging field of study, was the resident expert in filming African animals, having made a large number of movies about them on trips to the continent. Other than that, it's remarkable only in that all the soldiers are scared of the wild animals, which include a hyena, a leopard, and that most fearsome of beasts, the donkey.
