Lead actress/producer Corinne Touzet feels the film is very special to her as she played a tortured character, without makeup or hair styling. She had to fight to get the film made as none aside from her and writer Laurence Nerval-Kilberg believed in it and everyone around her advised her not to do it. Even the initially chosen director quit one month before filming, replaced by Michaël Perrotta. Eventually shooting went underway with Touzet short on funds, an unfinished script and an unprepped crew but turned out as good as Touzet hoped it would.
