Commentaire à la une
I will be honest, I tried the watching of this movie made for TV only because it is directed by Gilles Grangier, a famous, notorious French director from the forties till the early seventies, who was from the generation of Henri Decoin, Jean Delannoy or Claude Autant Lara. He gave us some of the best Jean Gabin's films written - dialogues - by the terrific Audiard. The Deam Team of this fifties and sixties period; the French equivalent of the John Ford's gang: Him, John Wayne, Ward Bond, Paul Fix, Victor McLaglen.... So, when to discovered this light comedy, I was deceived. It is cute, tender but unfortunately a bit silly, lame, as was GROSS PARIS, so far the last movie this tremendous director Gilles Grangier made for the big screen in 1974. Here, OK, it may be amusing but so lousy. Only for Gilles Grangier in a ankward depiction of the suburb life. Forget it.
