Probably one of the best constructed Mexican action movies ever made, and the picturesque on location scenery of Mazatlan doesn't hurt. Add to that the solid cast of pro's: Joaquin Cordero, Angelica Chain and Mario Cid. Next generation newcomer Edgardo Gazcon does a fine job as well. Plot involves a hired assassin who has one final job to fulfill, and it is his most difficult. He has been a widower for many years and has neglected his only son, but with retirement a day away, he will remarry and spend more time with his offspring as well. Just this one last hit to take care of. To make things more difficult, the police chief, played by Narciso Busquets, is on his trail, and won't let him out of his sight. There is good byplay between these two characters, each trying to outwit the other. Love interest, Angelica Chain is at her modeling best, and she does her darnedest to define the word skimpy, in bathing suit number one. Lots of plot twists, and ambiguity between good and evil. There is absolutely no time wasted, with every scene an advancement of plot. Music is enjoyable to boot. A real text book case of how a movie should be made. One minute note, however. In the beginning of the film a bad guy, upon trying to make a hasty exit, bumps into a car and falls. Seems like a goof, but hey, it could happen! Perhaps a directors license for added realism, but funny either way.
