Commentaire à la une
This Miki Norihei film was a vehicle to bring almost every Japanese comedian to the screen, one after the other. The story starts out with Norihei doing his bit as the stingiest man on earth. He keeps saving every yen he can get and keeps getting visits by the ghost of his grandfather, played by Toni Tani. Eventually Norihei meets the Crazy Scientist (William Ross). They run away, wind up in jail and the Scientist convinces Norihei that he can invent a "Brain-wave brake" for automobiles. They sell the rights to a Turkish investor (Turko Yusef). The film is full of slapstick comedy and fast paced dialogue (In Japanese). The action itself is understandable. Full of sight gags that require no translation.
