#9. RA and CALIMERO

Calimero was created as a mascot for a detergent advertising campaign. At the end of every television spot, in the aftermath of some little antic, a little girl would wash the chick with the detergent and Calimero would be revealed as not being really black, but merely dirty.

The children's show would completely forgo this 'plot twist', and to most people in my generation, a white Calimero is too weird to even consider.
