In August 1951 Duff Cooper says in his diary: " After dinner I persuaded Winston to come to the film. It was an Irish film called "No Resting Place". He happened to be in receptive mood and enjoyed it immensely saying it was the best film he's ever seen."

Dreary quota quickie

This film is directed by noted documentary maker Paul Rotha who only made a handful of fiction films,of which this is one.It is an extremely dull and drawn out affair.Scenes seem to be drwan out,lasting long past their natural length.Michael Gough is reasonable in the lead role before he became a fixture in horror films
