Barbara Gowdy creates extraordinary characters. In this short, Beth (Shauna Kain) can levitate and Helen (Colleen Rennison) is dying of hydrocephalus. They go to the same elementary school and become very close friends. Since Beth floats by praying, they try to use the same technique to cure Helen. The ending is very poignant. My wife and I both loved this beautiful short.
