Commentaire à la une
The Three Supermen are back for once last adventure 7 years after their previous battle against the Godfather. As this is the only Tre Supermen film made in the Eighties it looks and feels a bit different than all the others. It also stars only one familiar Superman: the verbally challenged Sal Borgese, who is joined by two young blood Daniel Stephen and Steven Martin (no not the gray haired one) as well as a sexy blond FBI agent played by singer Gena Gas.
Having traveled to Santa Domingo on the trail of a gang of dirty counterfeiters who are printing fake dollar bills, our trio almost immediately gets involved in a very silly fight. Battling about 35 men, this action sequence features more reverse shots than your average Six Million Dollar Man episode. Naturally the entire fight was just a diversion so the international villains can kidnap Gena. So the Supermen pretend to be Russian sailors by using the word 'tovarisch' in each sentence just like Colossus.
Although there are no children in this film, the intended audience seems to be aimed at under tens. The supporting characters look like cartoons, the music is repetitive, the action is too silly for words and while a couple of attractive women appear briefly, much more time is spend watching the supermen change their outfits in their hotel room. On the other hand, the drug lord does use a whip on two of his female accomplices, but then again, he speaks Spanish.
As usual two of the three heroes dress up in drag and join a group of women on a yacht and most of the latter part of the film takes part either in the harbor or in the jungle (familiar territory in the Tre Supermen series).
