When porn makers have zero respect for the viewer, it shows; case in point: DIAMOND HEAD. This junker has been pointlessly preserved on DVD-R by Something Weird on Vol. 98 of its Dragon Art Theatre series.
Shot in Hawaii, film's skeleton of a plot deals with a chubby, unattractive police woman searching for her girl-scout sister, who's been kidnapped by a trio during their getaway from robbing the Esquire porn theater. This establishment is featured prominently in the co-feature on the SWV two-fer, a nearly as bad fake documentary SEXUS IN PARADISE.
The kidnapping is so poorly staged (and shot guerrilla-fashion out on a busy sidewalk) that it makes backyard home movies made by 10-year-old would-be Spielbergs look professional in comparison. At least kids are trying.
With a creepy cast and director "Lee Betts" aiming low, the sex scenes that are the only reason for this movie to exist play badly. We get anal sex, incest, lesbian sex, mixed combo action, dildos used on both women and men and an idiotic strip act at the Esquire.
Filmmakers' disdain for the audience crystallizes in the depiction of a cretinous Esquire patron (that means YOU, dear viewer) jerking off in the front-row, latterly assisted in getting off via a b.j. costing just under $10 provided by the girl from the concession stand. Wishful thinking?
Typical of barely-surviving Dragon Art prints used by SWV, film ends abruptly after a torturous hour in the middle of a scene of the three female performers arranging themselves for a "triple decker".
