Starting with Épisode #2.9 (1991) the episodes were broadcast two at a time, with joint title sequence and end credits. The only episode specific credits were the director and writer, and between the two episodes the screen briefly faded to black.

Ratings improved to late!

This soap followed a very popular swedish soap called "Varuhuset". However "Storstad" failed to attract the viewers in the same scale as it succsessor had done. This soap was very different from "Varuhuset", slowly paced and about "real" families and problems. After a while the ratings improved, but by that time, the decision to cancel the show had already been made.
